When you using a amplifier, you may want to use a bigger power wattage amplifier to drive a speaker with smaller power. What should we do?
Today, we are going to introduce the function of Gain and VCL in the rear panel of power amplifier, so that you could get different output power and input sensitivity from different settings.
Firstly, you should know the stereo power of your amplifier. Take the FP10000Q and FP14000 as a example.
FP10000Q is a 4x1350W at 8ohms, 4x2100W at 4ohms, 4x2500W at 2ohms 4CH power amplifier
FP14000 is a 2x2350W at 8ohms, 2x4400W at 4ohms, 4x7000W at 2ohms 2CH power amplifier.
The Function of Gain
The following features maybe adjusted using the DIP switches on the rear - panel of the amplifier. Gain- Globally set for all channels, from +23 dB to +44 dB in 3 dB steps. Bridge 1+2 and 3+4 Switches the channel pairs into bridge mode operation an automatic -6 dB gain compensation is applied.

The function of VCL – Voltage Clipping Limited
Adjustment is provided for eight discrete levels for each channel. Select the setting most appropriate for connected speakers.
Mode- Select VCL mode to either Hard or Soft operation. For channels driving subwoofers and low- frequency drivers, it is recommended to use the Hard setting for optimal operation. For mid- and high- frequency drivers, always select Soft .
